Delirious

This morning I was attempting to wake and go to school. My alarm had already gone off and I had snoozed it atleast three times. I am not a morning person. As I was laying there I heard this 'tweet' like sound. My eyes still closed, I was completly out of it. I kept hearing this sound and for some reason assoicated it with birds. I layed there trying desperatly to come up with the date. I couldn't but was able to figure out it was the end of January- as the sound continued I started thinking 'wow, it's only January and the birds are out. What a nice feeling, spring must be coming early this year...' (Keep in mind i really am delirious) After a few more minutes of hearing these 'birds' and thinking about Spring, I started to become more and more awake. That's when I realized the tweet sound was in some sort of rhythm I started back up thinking 'that's funny, I didn't know birds only tweeted in a rhythem. The more I woke up the louder this noise was... I turned my head towards Chase and quickly realized, it was too cold for birds, my hopes of spring were gone that noise was simply coming from Chase. He was breathing funny, and for some reason in my delirious state I let myself believe there were birds outside my window. 
Now I can't wait for Spring.
